Till the End of the Day

So I just went down a pretty depressing Google-hole (Wiki-hole? whatever you’d call it when it mostly involves Google). First, I looked at Married…With Children to see what years that aired (germane to a conversation with a coworker). I noticed that the role of Al Bundy was originally offered to comic Sam Kinison. Oh, man, I thought, what a missed opportunity!  Sure, it probably didn’t seem like the greatest role ever to play, but Ed O’Neil’s now on the Emmy-award-stealing Modern Family these days—what the hell has Sam Kinison been doing these past few decades? Oh, shit. So, turns out he was killed by a 17-year-old drunk driver in 1992. The driver got a year of probation and 300 hours of community service. So that was a sad time.

Anyways, here’s some things to read:

Today in Fuck You: Bill O’Reilly doesn’t believe that white privilege exists.

Hospitals having financial problems in states that refused to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act.

38 maps that explain the global economy.

Seriously, though, the U.S. policy on sugar is fucked up.

There are going to be a bunch more Republican House members who don’t like Speaker Boehner.

Unlikely, but interesting: What if in independent candidate from Kansas tipped control of the Senate?

Lol Britain would be the second-poorest U.S. state.

Personally I disagree: Reclining in an airplane seat should be illegal.

Great profile of legend Phil Hartman.

Listen to a conservative judge ripping apart arguments against same-sex marriage.

Ohio lawmakers want to ban teaching the scientific process.
